Myrtle Beach Trip? Anyone been? What should i do?

Im planning a myrtle beach trip for me and my family during june this summer. First off im looking for a cheap yet nice hotel thats clean. Also I want to do something new while im down there...im already taking surfing lessons and going to wonder works but i want to do one more thing while im down there...ive already been to dixie stampede so i dont want to do that...any suggestions on a hotel or what i can do?
