In order for me to answer this, I'd have to personally know your boyfriend and know what's been going on with your relationship. However, if things seem to be going good then I don't think you have much to worry about. Just talk to him and ask why he'd say something like that. Let him know how much it scared you, and let him know if he's upset about something in your relationship you're open to talk about it.
