Why Is Elvis Considered Legendary?
He created the image of what a rock star should be. How they should act. He brought the rock genre to a large audience. He didn't write his own songs but he was able to bring rock music to white kids around the United States and eventually to the world being one rock to those people who might not have heard it otherwise. He lived a life of overindulgence that would set the standard of other rock musicians to overindulge. He had a great voice and was able to cause controversy with his dancing and with his image that at the time was cutting edge. Now it may be hard to see, but he basically invented the rock star persona.
